AOA Elder Program

Services for the Elders

Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians Administration On Aging Department offers a variety of programs. We help support the Tribal Elders’s dignity, and independence and retain their health.

Hot Meal Program
The Title VI Program helps provide a free well balanced hot meal to an enrolled home-bound member, age 55 or older, of any Federally recognized tribe living within the program service area (Coarsegold, Oakhurst, Ahwahnee and Bass Lake). This individual would be considered an eligible participant. Eligibility will also include a spouse, handicapped or disabled family members living in the same household as the Eligible Participant (handicapped or disabled to be defined by Tribe on an individual basis).

Nutrition Program
The Elders Food Card program is a way to ensure that our elders are able to buy groceries when needed and still have ample money to spend on healthy food choices. This program does not condone the purchase of Alcohol or Tobacco products.

Utility Assistance Program
For all elders there is a Utility Assistance program to be used on the following: electricity, propane, gas, wood, water, sewer, septic, garbage and/or telephone.

Arts & Crafts Program
The Arts & Crafts Program is a part of our Congregate Meal service which is held on Wednesdays and Fridays located at the Grandmother’s Club. This program will continue as soon as the Tribal Office is up and running again.
