The Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP) crisis refers to the disproportionately high rates of violence experienced by American Indian and Alaska Native people, particularly women and girls.
Research shows Indigenous communities experience some of the highest rates of violence in the United States.
More than 4 in 5 American Indian and Alaska Native women (84.3%) experience violence in their lifetime.
Domestic violence, sexual violence, trafficking, and stalking are often connected to cases involving missing or murdered Indigenous people.
Raising awareness and supporting survivors are important steps in helping prevent violence and protect Indigenous communities.
The PRCI Social Services Department provides services and support to eligible Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians tribal members and their families.
Available services may include:

Confidential counseling services for individuals experiencing stress, trauma, domestic violence, or other personal challenges.
Group Support Services
Support groups may be offered to provide a safe environment where individuals and families can connect with others and receive support.
